Alison Krauss's first album as a teen phenom. With her parents co-producing the album along with Illinois fiddler/musicologist, Jim Hoiles and Illinois player, Swamp Weiss, Alison and her brother Viktor shine as brilliant instrumentalists soon to be legends.  The original Vinyl LP is one of the rarest recordings by any music superstar.   This was recorded in a small rural studio in Central Illinois in one day of sessions.  The title reflects the difference between the methodical traditional style of old time fiddler, Jim Hoiles with young Alison's exhuberant, progressive violin playing.  It's all held together by the rock-steady rhythm of Greenville Illinois picker, Swamp Weiss who, as a young rock musician, studied Trad  music with Jim Hoiles.   12 tracks, 31 min.
