After collecting for decades, we've finally processed the best of our early reading books. These antique books were printed from the late 1880's to the late 1920's. The beautiful, illustrated "Mother Goose" from about 1929, just entered Public Domain for us to include. The restoration and digital conversions took weeks and even years to accomplish. Nearly all of these PDF fixed format eBooks have "live text" that can be read aloud by many devices with Acrobat Reader or other apps. These were selected for their superb graphical content and the pervasive portrayal of the natural world that has been disappearing from our awareness for more than a century. These books may have some politically incorrect references but the ones we noticed did not seem too serious. It's quite possible that several of these older books may be the only copies still existing at 140 years old. Because they were printed on cheap paper, the condition was awful and the restoration work, very tedious. We think that today's children would benefit from this historic storytelling perspective and adults will revel at the amount of fantastic artwork that really isn't matched by today's children's books.
