Because the original antique book was a collection of engraved prints, screen viewing sometimes results in the moire effect which of course isn't a problem when the book is printed. Please keep in mind that eBook copyright guidelines allow just several printings for personal use only and not printing for resale. Mrs. Pullman, the artist was an exceptional draftsman and engraver. The delicacy and accuracy she achieved is astounding. It's no wonder that poets and publishers joyfully allowed their poetry to be illuminated by Margaret's inspirational graphics. Whether or not her ability to produce these extravagantly printed volumes was due to her husband's fortune, or not, the work certainly stands as aesthetically brilliant. Nowadays we would call the large, landscape format heavy books, "coffee table" books. 28 pages, 25 engravings color cover and back, grayscale pages.
